Role Overview

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Associate Oracle APEX Developer to join our development team. This role is ideal for a recent graduate who is eager to start a career in low-code application development. You will be responsible for learning and assisting in the design, development, and maintenance of web applications using the Oracle Application Express (APEX) platform, primarily focused on the Oracle Database.

Key Responsibilities

  • Application Development Support:
    • Assist senior developers in the design, development, and testing of web applications using Oracle APEX Application Builder.
    • Help implement new features and enhancements in existing APEX applications.
    • Learn to configure APEX components such as Interactive Reports, Interactive Grids, Forms, and Charts.
  • Database Programming:
    • Write basic to intermediate SQL queries for data retrieval and manipulation.
    • Learn and utilize PL/SQL to create stored procedures, functions, and packages to implement business logic within the Oracle Database.
  • Front-End and User Experience:
    • Apply basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to enhance the user interface and user experience (UI/UX) of APEX applications under guidance.
    • Ensure applications are responsive and work correctly across different devices/browsers.
  • Quality Assurance & Documentation:
    • Perform basic unit testing and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
    • Assist in documenting technical designs, application processes, and deployment steps.
  • Collaboration:
    • Participate in team meetings, code reviews, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
    • Work closely with mentors and senior team members to troubleshoot and resolve simple application defects and issues.

Candidate Profile

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
  • Technical Foundations:
    • Strong foundational knowledge of SQL (e.g., SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE statements).
    • Basic understanding of PL/SQL syntax and structure.
    • Familiarity with the Oracle Database environment.
  • APEX Exposure:
    • Hands-on experience with Oracle APEX (version 5.x or higher), preferably through academic projects, internships, or self-learning.
    • Ability to navigate the APEX Application Builder and understand core components.
  • Web Fundamentals: Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Good-to-Have Skills (Bonus Points)

  • Knowledge of RESTful Web Services integration.
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
  • Understanding of the Agile development methodology.
  • Any relevant Oracle/APEX certifications (e.g., Oracle APEX Foundations).
